Chalobah Expected to Take Over from Marc Guehi in England Squad
The Chelsea star followed his sibling Nathaniel in representing England, becoming the twenty-first pair of siblings to play for the national team.
The Chelsea defender is likely to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is set to join the team for England's last World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, but it has still not been confirmed.
The Three Lions have already secured qualification for the upcoming World Cup.
Chalobah was given his first invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the team for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally did not select him for the following October international break.
Tuchel has been an important presence in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.
Chalobah has featured in nearly all fixtures for Chelsea this season, with the club occupying third spot in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the European competition.
Guehi suffered a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League victory over the Dutch side last week.
There are expected to be further additions to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has said that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will withdraw from the squad.
